Many exciting things have developed since the last post in mid-January. While home in Indiana for Christmas, we had some family pictures taken and they turned out pretty good -- especially at capturing some of Hazey's funny facial expressions.

Hazel has also started eating solid foods, well they start out as solid foods but are then pureed beyond oblivion so that she can just slurp it up. So far, Hazel enjoys apples, bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes, avocados, blueberries, and yogurt. At first, most of the food ended up on her face, hair or clothes, but now when she's hungry, she's pretty accurate and 90% of stuff gets into her mouth.
Hazel has also been entertaining herself with one particular puzzle given to her by one of my mentors at Tufts. She tastes each piece before she bangs it against the board. We're not close to actually putting the pieces where they belong, but she enjoys it anyways.
Thanks to Blanche for Hazey's Chinese New year outfit. It was silk in the middle so she kept caressing the material with her fingers.
She's really been into touching everything lately, on top of putting everything she touches into her mouth. Scratchy things, fluffy things, crinkly things, you name it... it all goes into the mouth.In the last picture she's wearing my friend Stephanie's scarf and giggled when the fuzzy material touched her face.
